222 Second Street Website

April 2014 / Tishman Speyer

A responsive, media-rich website for a new SF development

Tishman Speyer hired my team at Gensler to position the 26-story development for its opening in 2015. As the architect of record, our knowledge of the building positioning was crucial in providing a turnkey marketing solution. Along with the site, other team members designed the brand identity, wrote copy, and created additional marketing materials. I was responsible for the designed and development of 222second.com.

Soon after the release, the entire building was leased by LinkedIn.

The website features a variety of custom interfaces to help inform about the building and its surroundings. These include beautiful full-bleed video backgrounds, a custom interactive neighborhood map, and an interactive panoramic viewer with adjustable height (has since been removed).

The website is fully responsive, and carefully considers a range of browser sizes. With so many custom features, the user interface had to be carefully adjusted to remain functional in each instance. I wrote all front-end HTML, CSS, and Javascript, as well as most of the back-end Wordpress PHP.
